Head Coach Adam Terko:
Adam is MNC Executive Director and Head Coach for all Junior programs, and has been with MNC since 2015.
A US Ski and Snowboard L200 coach and the 2017 NENSA Coach of the Year, Adam spent three years coaching the St. Lawrence University ski team before joining MNC. Adam has been trip leader for Team Vermont at both the NENSA Eastern High School Championships and NENSA U16 Championships.
A regular Age Group and Wax Staff member for the New England Junior National Team, Adam has also served as a wax tech for the US team at the 2023 Junior World Championships and 2024 Minneapolis World Cup. He is chair of the NENSA Athlete Development Committee.
Coach Sara Falconer (Juniors):
A native of Anchorage, AK, and a L200 coach, Sara has been with MNC since 2015. Alongside Adam, Sara is a year-round coach for the Junior team while also organizing and leading Masters sessions and training plans. Sara skied for Alaska Winter Stars and APU before competing at the collegiate level for the U of Alaska Fairbanks in her home state.
Sara was the trip leader for Team Vermont at the 2024 NENSA U16 Championship, and is a regular Age Group and Wax Staff member for the New England Junior National Team.
Sara graduated from UVM in 2016 with a degree in Biology, is a certified yoga instructor, and in 2024 received her doctorate in physical therapy!
Coach Brandon Herhusky (MNC University):
Brandon is a native of Lake Tahoe, California, and serves as UVM’s assistant coach. Prior to UVM, Brandon served in similar roles at Harvard and Sugar Bowl Ski Team and Academy.
Brandon has run similar college-focused training groups in Truckee, CA, and Boston, MA. Brandon helped coach JC Schoonmaker in his buildup to the 2022 Beijing Olympics, and coached UVM and US Ski Team member Haley Brewster to a US National title and her first World Cup starts.
Brandon graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelors of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition with a minor in Athletic Training.
Coach Kristen Bednar (Devo Group):
Kristen grew up in Essex, skiing for the high school team as well as MNC during the summer months (before MNC had a winter group for Juniors!).
Studying and skiing at St. Lawrence University, Kristen captained the ski team in her senior year and was a 2x NCAA Championships qualifier.
Kristen then spent time travelling and earning a degree in Business, and coached in Colorado with the Boulder Nordic junior team. At MNC, Kristen is the coach of the Devo (U14) racers, and also often coaches with the Juniors and Masters, too!
